Cross-KIC EIT Food & Health 18 June 2018 News Innovators, researchers and entrepreneurs in the European food sector met at Koppert Biological Systems’ headquarters in the Netherlands last week Thrusday to inspire collaboration and innovation in this sector for improved food production, nutrition and health. EIT Food aims to boost the skills and entrepreneurial spirit in the sector and unlock the potential of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), which in turn will accelerate innovation, create jobs, benefit businesses and increase Europe’s competitiveness. EIT Food aims to, among others: EIT Climate-KIC: Food Value Chains Strategy Helping Europe’s largest public-private climate innovation initiative tackle carbon emissions and climate resilience in the food system. Metabolic provided a critical assessment of EIT Climate-KIC’s draft strategy for the Food Value Chains focus area. The call is open to any partner and start-up of participating EIT Community (EIT RawMaterials, EIT Climate KIC, EIT Food, EIT Manufacturing and EIT UrbanMobility) with a technology included in any of the previously defined areas that has been supported in any ongoing or finished demonstration project. The maximum funding will be 60.000 euros. EIT Food is Europe’s leading food innovation initiative, working to make the food system more sustainable, healthy and trusted.
